QUINCE CANNELLONI WITH CREAM CHEESE

Ingredients:
  • 6 thin slices Valliser quince.
  • Cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia)
Preparation:

First, cut the Valliser quince into very thin slices.

Then spread out the slices (as if they were cannelloni sheets) on a very clean cloth - this will help to roll them up.

Using a piping bag, add the cream cheese onto the quince slices (if you do not have a piping bag, use a plastic bag. Fill the bag and close it at the top, before cutting it at the opposite end).

Having completed this step, start to raise the cloth closest to you to avoid breaking the quince. Roll it up into the shape of a cannelloni and it will stick together thanks to its texture.

Lastly, place all the cannelloni on a worktop and cut them in half. This way they are the perfect size to be eaten in just one bite.

Note:

These cannelloni can be used as a snack in any situation. They are a very versatile appetiser and combinations using different cheeses are sure to delight cheese lovers. Also of note, adding a balsamic reduction will enhance the flavour and the contrasting flavours are unique.
