WHOLEMEAL TOAST WITH GOAT CHEESE, QUINCE & NUTS

Ingredients:
  • 3 slices wholemeal bread.
  • 3 slices quince (approx. 4 mm).
  • 3 slices goat cheese round (approx. 4 mm).
  • A handful of walnuts.
  • A white coffee cup and a glass that is the same diameter as the goat cheese to trim the bread and quince.
Preparation:

First, toast the bread. Then, trim the three slices using the edge of the white coffee cup as a mould. Put aside.

Next, trim the quince slices using the edge of the glass that is the same diameter as the goat cheese. Put aside.

Now is the time to create the toastie by placing the goat cheese (cut into slices as noted above) on the bread. Lastly, add the slices of Valliser quince and hold it all together using a toothpick (we used one made of bamboo).

Placing it on the plate, add the chopped nuts as they will provide a deal of mildness to the mixture of flavours.

Note:

The toastie can also be spread with butter or tomato - thus providing other different flavours and aromas.
