VALLISER QUINCE CANAPÉ WITH CHEESE & HAM

Ingredients:
  • 200 g thinly sliced country, 'bodega', 'recebo' or 'Iberian' ham.
  • 200 g sliced Manchego cheese.
  • 200 g sliced Valliser quince (as thinly sliced as possible).
  • Slices of bread for canapés or sliced bread without crusts.
  • Tomato to be spread on the bread.
  • Variety of cherry tomato types, olives, gherkins or other ingredient to garnish.
Preparation:

Spread tomato on a slice of bread for canapés.

Then place the Manchego cheese (or as chosen) on top. Recommendation: use a cheese with character for a perfect contrast between the quince and the other flavours in the dish.

Now, add the thinly sliced Valliser quince on top of the bread.

Add the sliced ham on top of the quince.

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and place them in 3 rows, combining them with other ingredients to create a colourful and varied mosaic.

Using a toothpick hold these new ingredients in place to stop them moving when cutting the whole into portions.

Lastly, very carefully cut the canapés into little squares and serve them on a tray. Enjoy!
